Biographies

Dr. Shelly Boyce

Dr. Boyce studied veterinary medicine at The University of the West Indies St. Augustine, School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2004 and her passion is small animal medicine (veterinary care of dogs and cats). 

Sierra Veterinary Clinic was first established by Dr. Boyce in 2007 on a part-time basis. It developed into a full time small animal practice in January 2013.

Dr. Boyce truly loves caring for dogs and cats and it is reflected in her commitment to her chosen profession. She says, "It's more than a job, it's my life!" Every pet gets a cuddle when they come to visit at the clinic, even the naughty ones! Most of her clients refer to her simply as Shelly, or Dr. Shelly. 

Dr. Antonio Watson

Dr. Watson studied veterinary medicine at The University of the West Indies St. Augustine, School of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in 2015. He has worked as a Clinical Teaching Assistant at the University of the West Indies, School of Veterinary Medicine after graduation and prior to returning to Barbados to work part-time at Sierra Veterinary Clinic and another vet clinic on the island.

Ms. Dorissa Samuel

Ms. Samuel gained her professional qualificaion in the Veterinary Assistant Program at the Animal Behaviour College in 2016. She joined the team at Sierra Veterinary Clinic in 2017.
